Pear wars

King Sven travelled to the fair Barony of Styringheim to witness and take part in the struggle to decide whom would be the guardian of the pear tree and which kind of pear that would conquer the world!

A beautiful summer day met him when he landed on the island and after a short travel the camp was in sight and Earl Marcus and Sven happily took part in the camp chores and soon a most splendid encampment was erected.

For two days the celebration kept on with much archery, fighting and very nice relaxation time.

Court was held on the shore of the sea and as the sun settled in the sea the party entertained the assembled nobles. Tossing of log and other nice games was performed with cows as the witnesses.

Lord Jorulf från Valle was awarded membership in the Order of the Silver Guard and

Lady Erid Ingefridsdotter Hinspaka was awarded with a Sigillum Coronae.

A much relaxed Sven embarked on the trip home with Earl Marcus as company.

Lövspricket

The shire of Uma invited us to see when the summer arrived in the area, unfortunately only HRM Jovi was able to go.

As promised we had wonderful weather for fencing, fighting, archery and court outdoors.

They also taught the Queen how to do needlebinding.

A weekend full with joy, good friends, splendid food and an opportunity for me to visit a new area in Our most beloved Kingdom.

Summernights

A bus up to Finland took Me, Jovi, up to the splendid Laurel Haakon. The two of us travelled all the way through Aarnimetsä in his dragon to the fair canton of Miehonlinna and the event Suwiyöt VIII/Summer Nights VIII.

The event contained a lot of time in the sauna, games, a rose tournament with both  heavy weapons and boffer weapons, a feast served by kerubes (painted in gold and with beautiful white wings), dance (oh yes, the queen did dance) and many wonderful people. I am very glad to have had the opportunity to visit this group.

Viceroy in Insulae Draconis

I Sven travelled with Ivar to the splendid tournament held to find the heirs to the title of Viceroy and Vicerinne of Insulae Draconis.

The tournament was held along the south coast at a scout camp and the whole weekend went well with a well run event. The tournament was small as it have been often but the competition was still good. Lord Vitus Polonius, fighting for Guliette de Fonte emerged as victor and they assumed the titles with grace and joy.

The day was filled with pick-up fighting, classes and meetings for the officers. The weather a bit moist but not really bad.

Double Wars

Nine days of early summer in Southern Nordmark with many friends is a sure success.

The Royal/Styringheim encampment, situated next  to the fighting field was an excellent base for participating in the parties, the fighting and everything at the event.

The unbelted tournament held on wednesday was of a very nice competence level, the rose tournament on Monday (?) was splendid to take part in. The girls-only feast on Sunday (?) evening was as fun as they usually are. The courts followed the time-schedule more or less on the minute. The knäcke-bankett held on Friday evening was excellent, Master RantulfuR's classes taught Our scribes new things.

The lunch held on the field on Thursday did despite rainy weather become roughly as desired. Flute music lighted the mood, food was served, talks were had. The Princely couple, the Royal couple, Aarnimetsä and ID representatives and the Baron and Baroness of Styringheim all took part and we discussed the events that have led up to the situation and in good spirit we agreed to settle the matter with war on Saturday.

In short it was a double-wars that will never be forgotten, not to mention that the flat side won!
